Heeeeeeeeey!
Im finally here!!! I know once I start writing this post, it probaly wont end anytime soon!!! I\’ve been busy, busy, busy. Since my job havent been hiring any new workers since before Christmas, they are giving us a lot of hours and long one too, so right now I am truly blessed to be working and doing some of the things that I want to do. Thank you Jesus for that!!
My car is down, been driving my momma\’s car to work, and its okay so far, but Im use to having my own. Ive got so many things planned and set that I really havent had the time to take it to be put on this machine so that my mechanic can see whats wrong, plus he\’s been busy with other things. I miss my lil piece of car too. I\’m really thinking about selling it as soon as I can save up some money because once I start getting things fixed on it, I feel that its going to break down for good. I need somthing bigger to pick my gurls up in, now I have a few other gurls to pick up because their moms don\’t have rides for them. I just hate the fact that I have to do drop offs them pick up other gurls. Everything will fall in place I just know it will. It\’s just a matter of time.
So much has happened where do I start? On May 17, when we had out Raisingurls To Women meeting, I announced to the gurls that Sunday May 30, we were going to have a candy sale to raise money for out T-shirts. Okay, let me go back……… On August 22, 2009 we are going to Cedarpointe. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/rides/coasters/index.cfm For those of you who don\’t know its one of the best Amusement Parks ever!!! Its located in Sandusky Ohio, about 2 hours from Detroit. My best friends Charlene hooked me up with these people who charter buses I called them and liked the prices for the bus. But before this. I told the gurls that we were going August 15, but when I counted my check days and vacation days, I realized that I had checked off my days wrong. So I had to tell all my gurls that we moved the date up to August 22, which was cool for them, its just in time before school starts back.
Me and Neisha went to see the lady Ms. Wendy and she took us on a tour of the buses which we absolutly adored. We checked several sizes and decided to go with the 33 passenger. The only thing I DIDNT like about that one is that it didnt have a toliet room on it. Those things stank anyway!!!. But its NOT about Cree and so when I thought about the small price difference between a 33 passenger and a 57 passenger I realized that we may have to make several different stops at a truck stop and coming home at 11:00 am in the morning, I don\’t want my kids out there that late. So I called Ms. Wendy back the very next day which was last Thursday and ordered a 57 passenger. She had one available and so she wrote me up a contract and its on. So far we have over 33 people wanting to go. Not including most of the familes of my Raisingurls. Im excited about that. Im amazed at myself for how motivated I can be when I put my mind to something. Thats one thing that I\’ve always known about me, is that I can sit down write out my Vision and then go with it. Now if I think about it for days and days and don\’t write it down, not only would the thought leave me, but it won\’t move me as much as it would if it were to be written down.
To keep me motivated and excited about my gurls projects I make little post it signs all around my monitor. And since Im the kinda person that likes to write things down, once I do whats on the post it, I enjoy throwing it out. Which tells me that I completed a task.
As Im typing Neishia is making Cedarpointe fliers for the Parents, Family and Friends, I need to fill this bus up……BUT only people I know can go on this trip because this is for my gurls and I don\’t want any mess at all.
At our last meeting I passed out Scriptures to the gurls and told them to study them before our next meeting which will be this week. Im going to tell them also that before we go on this trip we will know 30 books of the Bible in order, by heart. We have also been calling on the gurls to start off in prayer, and these gurls can pray!!! Last week one of the gurls prayed and it bought me to tears, I can only imagine how God felt. Anotherthing Im really big on is group particpation, I do activities that allows me to group them up to see who are my Leaders, who has good ideas, and team players. Thats very important to me, because in order to get things done in life, you have to be a team player, even if you don\’t agree with everything. And they have shown themselves to be great players and Im very proud of that. I had an issue of the gurls being excited and speaking out of turn. So I had to break them off into 3 teams, and if someone is talking and another person from another team interupt, they had to give up a raffle ticket to that team. Boy did that stop a lot of laughing and talking. lol lollllllll. I tried it the following week, and they never not once talked out of line. lol
Im sorry Im getting sleepy, Im multi-tasking and I am wore out from 81/2 hours of work, and doing some group stuff today. I have so much more to blog about, so tommorrow I will be back.
