Forgiveness! ( Lacrease and Valerie)

 
 Me and my bestfriend Gloria, we would sit up and exchange exboyfriend stories about how we were treated by our kids dad and the things we did to get back at them. I would tell the story of my friend  Val who betrayed me and started creeping with my boyfriend who is the father of my now19 year old daughter. Me and Val lived in a 2 family flat she was downstairs and I was up.
 
It was her own sisters who confirmed to me what she was doing behind my back. So when they both confessed, I did things to get back at her, and once that blew over, I needed answers.  Still I was bitter and mad for the betrayal.I dissed him for good as far as me and him. Me and her talked, but I didn\’t trust her, she didn\’t trust me, and I found myself talking about it to family and friends daily. It took over my conversations, my mind, my everyday living, I was devasted. So when she knocked on my door and told me that she was moving to Florida, I was SO HAPPY. I didn\’t have to see her face anymore, didn\’t have to wonder if they were still sneaking around, didn\’t have to be fake anymore. I was very happy.
 
God spoke to me saying you haven\’t forgiven her. I was like yes God I have, I have forgiven her. She\’s gone now, so what does it matter? 

Once she got to Florida, she would call and I would act funny, I heard stories of her being beaten by her boyfriend who she left with, ( yes he knew about what had happened) but was feeling like…………oh well what goes around comes around.

 
 But One day I will never forget. After almost 2 years of her being gone, she called me and gave me the shock of my life. She said I talked to the landlord and he told me that the downstairs was vacant, and that she was coming back to live in the SAME HOUSE.
 
I thought I was going to pass out!!!!!
 
 After I got off the phone. I said God how could you let her come back and move in the same house? You know what we\’ve been thru. How could you do this to me? Why this same house God? Why? He said because you haven\’t forgiven her, and you need to before you can move on.  I had never in my life had to deal with forgiveness. I felt if you don\’t deal with them, or don\’t see them again, that it would eventually go away.
 
Before she came back, I had gotten real, real close to God, started dealing with my daughters father on a parent level,  I really thought that I was moving on. When she came back, everything came back to me. I remember God saying to me so clear…….. Lacrease you haven\’t forgiven her! I went back and forth with God, because I felt that since I didn\’t have to see her, that I was over the pain, But ahhhhhhhhhhhh when she came back on the scene, all what I thought was over, wasn\’t. I was angry with God. I felt that he could have moved her on another block, or on the West side somewhere!! Instead he had another plan for me, and that is when I learned Forgiveness!

 

Im sooooooooooo happy for that experiences. I Thank God all the time for being by my side during those hard times. I was young, I had never experienced any pain so deep. But I got through it. Believe it or not me and VAL are better friends today then we were before it happened.

 

So when Tyler Perry  said that you have to forgive, Lord knows he said a mouthful. Cause had God not moved her back in that flat apartment with me. I would still be hating her. Still thinking about that mess, still mad and mean. Still wanting revenge, wondering and hoping she is somewhere hurting. But today………….. Please I wish Lacrease would be still walking around with all that mess build up inside me. Nope cant do it. Um ummmm

Have you ever?

 
      
When I first started working for Walmart there was this CSM (Customer Service Manager) name LaShandra. I hated her. Yes, hated her. In my eyes she was loud, and had favorites. I felt that she her number one gurls who she liked, and the rest she would ignore or just not talk to you that much. It was something about her that could make the atmosphere where you could easily feel left out when you are around her. Many times I felt like that.
 
 Maybe it was my past haunting me of how I use to be. Me and my best friend would be bossy at work, we had favorites and if you wasn\’t feeling us, then we wasn\’t feeling you. We could be talking with a few people, and if someone walked up or happen to be around, it was something about us that can make the atmosphere messed up. We could make you feel so uncomfortable that it didn\’t make sense. We didn\’t even have to be talking about you, but our conversations was so bold, so \”out there\” and so intimidating that you can\’t help but feel funny. And we knew it. People told us all the time you and Gloria are out cold! Yall don\’t like nobody , yall funny acting. We didn\’t care.  See yaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was Our Motto.
  
Lashondra was just like meeeeeee back in the day. I knew it too. But since I wasnt like that any more, I wasn\’t gonna dare be treated like that. She had me messed up…………….for real doe. Ever time I thought about it I would tell God that I hated her. Yes, that is my testimony. I hated her and I told God. I would call Gloria every day and tell her how much I hated Lashandra. She would laugh cause she knew I liked everybody. She told me though and I will never forget. She said once you get to know her she is so cool. I didn\’t want to hear that, I felt that  she should have been cool right off rip, if she was so cool   But instead she annoyed and irrated me.
 
 
One day I came to work and instead of me acting funky right off rip with her, I decided to just listen to some of the things she say. I didn\’t have a comment about nothing, I just wanted to listen to how she talks to people, how she communicates to us (cashiers), how she handles authority. For a few days I watched her closely. And I begin to ask myself what is it about her that you dont like? After laughing at some of the things she says, and some of the facial expression she makes. I thought maybe it was me who had the problem!!!! Just maybe I don\’t understand her.
 
Time went on and Lashonda became my gurl! I realized that she is a great Leader, she listens to authority, she dont take side, she dont care if you are her friend or not, wrong is wrong. She comes to work everyday, she gets things started. She wont debate or argu with you, she\’ll say her peace and then its a wrap. She is a motivator, a person who wants to win.

I had to go to God and ask for forgiveness. I told him that I hated his child. Thats how much I didn\’t like her.  I know…….that\’s terrible. Me and her laugh about it all the time, and it just shows me that when I was being honest about my feelings, God let me see A. how much I really disliked her. B. that he could begin to work on this situation. And he did.
 
Today I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee me some Lashondra. She is my gurl! How can I say something so mean about someone I didn\’t know? Did my past catch up with me? I wasn\’t always this way you know? We went to see Madea Goes To Jail last year together, we went to birthday parties, and baby showers, go to dinner. And you know the fun part? All of us coworkers go places together. We dont fight, argue, we get along so well.
 
So my question to you is: Have there ever been someone who you didn\’t like, and now you are good friends ? Share your story.

The Generous Employer

I love reading the bible. But many times I just dont know what they be talking bout. lol Sometimes no matter how I try to read into it, I just don’t get it. But guess what I learned? The more I read my bible, the more I go over the scripture over and over, I realize that I understand it.
 
Guess what I found doing some research? The Parables. I love when Jesus spoke in parables, because you can sit there and actually visualize what happened. So I ask that you come with me and visualize this scripture. And if you get it just say AMEN. If you dont be honest and say…….???

The Laborers in the Vineyard
or The Generous Employer

Scripture: Matthew 20:1-16

1 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. 2 After agreeing with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 And going out about the third hour he saw others standing idle in the market place; 4 and to them he said, `You go into the vineyard too, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went. 5 Going out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, he did the same. 6 And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing; and he said to them, `Why do you stand here idle all day?’ 7 They said to him, `Because no one has hired us.’ He said to them, `You go into the vineyard too.’ 8 And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, `Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’ 9 And when those hired about the eleventh hour came, each of them received a denarius. 10 Now when the first came, they thought they would receive more; but each of them also received a denarius. 11 And on receiving it they grumbled at the householder, 12 saying, `These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.’ 13 But he replied to one of them, `Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take what belongs to you, and go; I choose to give to this last as I give to you. 15 Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?’ 16 So the last will be first, and the first last.”

Meditation: What can work and wages, wefare and the unemployed tell us about the kingdom of God?  In the parable of the laborers in the vineyard we see the extraordinary generosity and compassion of God. There is great tragedy in unemployment. In Jesus’ times hired laborers had to wait each day in the marketplace until someone hired them for a day’s job. No work that day usually meant no food on the family table. The laborers who worked all day and received their payment complain that the master pays the late afternoon laborers the same wage. The master, undoubtably, hired them in the late afternoon so they wouldn’t go home payless and hungry. God is generous in opening the doors of his kingdom to all who will enter, both those who have labored a life-time for him and those who come at the last hour. While the reward is the same, the motive for one’s labor can make all the difference. Some work only for reward. They will only put as much effort in as they think they will get out. Others labor out of love and joy for the opportunity to work. The Lord calls his disciples to serve God and neighbor with generosity and joy. Do you find joy in giving freely to others?

Tests, Tests, Tests

Hey,

  I just wanted to stop in tonight to share this with you all.  Its really deep and serious, it has me sitting up here really really thinking.

Today on my way to work while I was at the light about to enter the freeway, I heard God say Lacrease I need you to pray right now as if this is your last day. So by me being shocked at what I heard, I said God you for real?( we talk like that) So I started thinking danggggggggg am I about to die? So I hear him again, say Lacrease pray right now as if it was your last day. I knew it was for real. I said Lord, forgive me for all my sins, every last one,. I want to see you and live forever, thanks for me having the best family in the world. I started praying like crazy saying everything I could think of before this light changed.

The light changed and I got on the freeway.

Im riding and riding, when all of a sudden I see  red brake lights,  before I could even break down , the truck in front of me make a quick dash to the right lane leaving me to see just how close I was to death. I too had to swerve over to keep from hitting the car, that was in front of the truck, from the back. I hit the breaks soooooo hard, that I got an instant headache that lasted for over 5 hours. My head was hurting so bad at work, that I was going to go home. And I neverrrrrrrrrrrr get sick, have headache’s or anything. I Thank God that there wasn’t a car to the right of me, because I HAD to get over, there was nooooo way I could have hit that car from the back and lived. I got to work in a daze, my day was good though.

Then………. I get to work today and see Melissa, a lady who is about to get married. Before I left for my leave she told me that she was pregnant. Even though I got back last week,  I didn’t see her until today. I wanted to ask her how was she doing with the pregnancy and all. But I heard God say Lacrease don’t ask her, wait until you see Rose and then ask her. Rose is her fiance’s mother, she is my coworker. So IM like okay. Then I see Melissa again. but she dont see me. So I start looking for Rose and realized that she didn’t work today. Guess you know later on………Melissa walks pass my register, and I say hey Melissa how are you doing. She smiles and say Im doing fine. Then I say how’s the baby. She said you didn’t know? Im like what? Then I knew before she opened her mouth. She says I lost the baby, didn’t you hear? Then she says oh no that’s right you were on leave. I wanted to disappear. God told me not to say anything to her. He told me ASK ROSE. Just because I didn’t see Rose today. does not mean dont wait until tomorrow. I was being disobedient, and I feel so bad. Melissa is okay, its just the fact that I should have listened to God.

Tests tests tests. Will I ever get a passing grade?

Tyler Perry\’s New Sitcom~ Yall betta watch my boo!

 Just wanted to stop by and give you this message from Tyler Perry.  He has a new sitcom coming out and he wanted me to pass the word. So Im doing just that. So look out for your brother n law okay? lol

Okay here\’s the big news.  Many of you may remember a
few years ago I was going to do a TV show.  I was very
surprised to find out that in TV when you go the
traditional route you really have no control over your
show.

They tell you what to say how to say it, and when to
say it.  God forbid you try to say Jesus. This didn\’t
sit right with me at all. When it comes to me and us,
I feel like I know what we want to see so if it
doesn\’t feel right
to me I have no problems walking away no matter how
much money. I was not about to go on TV and have you
all talking about me saying this show is
terrible…what was TP thinking.  It wouldn\’t have
been because I didn\’t
give my ideas, but because they shot it down and I was
out of there on the next thing smoking. 

With all of that said and because of your investment
in me I was able to write produce and finance 10
episodes of my first sitcom called \”House Of Payne.\”
Allen Payne (Jason\’s Lyric, New Jack city) plays a
fireman named CJ whose wife has a drug problem and
burns down their house to cover their mounting debt.
So, they have to move in with his
parents Cassie Davis, and Lavan Davis form \”Madea Goes
to jail.\” CJ has two kids and he and the grinds have
very different ideas about raising these kids.

I wanted this show to be what my movies are, funny
but serious with life lessons in them. Like my plays,
but for TV. Do you remember those shows like \”All in
the Family\”, \”Good Times\”, \”Rosanne\”, and \”Cosby\”.
The shows
that everybody wanted to watch because they not only
made you laugh, but they had some heart. Well, this is
one of those shows with heart.

This was a huge gamble, but if I know anything I know
my faith. And I know my folks, And that\’s why I did
it. If you
give it a chance I know you\’re going to love it.  This
has never been done before, not like this, but I know
it will work.  I\’m always asking ya\’ll to do
something, buy this
book, pay to see my movie, buy a ticket to the play,
buy the DVD. Well, now I can say this wont cost you
anything, just a little of your time.

Now, these ten episodes will run only in ten selected
cities. If I had my choice it would have been all over
the
country. I\’m working with a company that needs to know
that people will watch it if it goes to the rest of
the country.

So it airs in New York and Houston on May eighth, and
eight
other cities soon to follow.   Here is the schedule
as I know it. As we get closer to the release date of
your city, I\’ll send you some reminders. I hope I
don\’t work on your nervous by then. (smile)

If you are not in these cities and you know people in
them, please call them and ask them to watch.

Why Comes??

Hey Everybody!
 
How was your weekend? Mines was cool. I worked yesterday and chilled today. This week is going to be off the hook for blogging. We are going to talk about Men, Love, God, and Relationships. So make sure you stop by all week to CreCre’s house to see what she’s got up. Andddddd make sure yall bring some snacks, cause we gotsta eat! LOL
 
Today I have some thoughts that are on my mind and I need to ask some questions. Not necessarily looking for answers. Its called Why Comes? So let me start this off and you can add yours too.

Whycome the (new) Kool-Aid man got on Capri’s???????
 
Whycome people let their kids ack a fool in the grocery store,
embarrass them, and then say to them “when we got home youre gonna get it”???? Whycome they cant just beat dey azz on the spot?
 
Whycome when I put on a scarf and go to bed at night( it comes off) my hair is mattedddddd in the middle like cats been licking in it?
 
Whycome my friends dog have a first name,. middle name, and last name?
 
Whycome I seen this ant in my house carry his boy (a ant who was dead) and when I tried to blow them he ran faster,and wouldn’t drop his boy for nothing in the world, so  why I let then live?
 
Whycome when men come through my line to buy condoms, I stare at them?
 
Whycome when customers get on my nerves at work I ignor them when they ask me “maam are you open”.? Why I make them ask me 5 times before I look up and answer them?  Then sometimes I make them tap me on my shoulders? ( thats bad I know)……working on it.
 
Whycome Im singing in my mind the School of Rock song, 12345, 678910. eleven twelveeeeee.
 
Whycome my friend walk on her tippie toes, and then when you look behind her, you’ll see all 3 of her sons doing the same thing?

You need to know on hand, off rip, what you are looking for. You know what you want, because its engraved in your mind.

What are your habits? ( Have fun)

Im sitting here thinking about some of the habits I have. Some of the things I say, and some  things that you may not know about me. So I’ve decided to share them with you. Share some of the habits and special things that I dont know about you.

  • Ok………….. I have this blanket that I roll up into a  small ball, and rub it on my face, my hands, and my forehead. I dont know why I do this, but I have done this since I can remember. I even stopped for about 5 years. Thats when I told my daughter to go and throw it outside in the dumpster so that I wont go get it, and it worked. But now at 38 I have a brand new one( yeah I relapsed) and its here to stay!!!! Whom ever I marry is going to have to accept this blanket in the bed with us. If he cant except my “ball cover” he will not be with me. lol
  • When Im working and I make a mistake and drop something, maybe like their change, or their bags, even at home when someone trips, the first thing out of my mouth is” YOU MADD”?   lol It just comes out of my mouth. Say for instance if you go to the ATM and it’s not working, I will say “You Madd? People normally respond………naw gurl Im okay. lol
  • I have a nice grade of hair, but I have this  spot in the back of my head near my neck that just wont grow. Its funny because my dad has it and my 2 sisters. You can tell we are family just by looking at it. Thank goodness you cant see it unless I lift it up.
  • I suck my tongue
