Perfect example of how God works!

No matter who you are born from, we are all God’s children. I pray that the parents make sure that they remain close when they get older.

Lord, thank you for these beatiful baby gurls! Let them grow up and show the world that they know no color . But love!

Often I think about my friend cookie who I use to work with  at Arbor Drugs. We use to have soooo much fun in that place. It should have been against the law to come to work, laugh loud, eat anything you want, and get paid for it! Thats just how much fun we use to have.

When I left Arbor cookie was still there. She didnt have to work because her husband had a GOOD JOB!. She just worked for her \”hair and nail money\” They lived in the prettiest house that I\’ve seen in my life!!  Her home was beautiful, and it was 2 mintues from our job. Cookie was in her middle 40\’s. After a while she quit her job because she had gotten ill.

One day I will never forget, she called me and said Lacrease you better come over here and see me. I knew she was sick but I didnt want to see her like that. She kept saying, yall better get over here and see me.

 I never went.

Soon after that my friend Quetta called me from work and told me that  she was listening to the radio when her son who is a Comedian ( The Great Bobo Lamb) was on the radio saying  that his mother had passed away, and that the funeral was going to be TOMORROW.

I was devasted. I was so sick. I cried and cried.

 But I kept hearing God\’s voice telling that he made it possible for me to go to the funeral  by Quetta\’s radio being on at work. I thought about it through all my guilt of not going to see her like she asked me too, and somehow it comfort me.

We all went to the funeral which was soooooooo packed and so sad. She looked so pretty and so peaceful. As she lay there, thats when I realized that God had a sense of humor. I say that because she was so funny and so silly. That if we came from God, then we know that he laughs, he must have a sense of humor. God was really there for me during that time. Because I didnt take it well at all. Cookie and I had some much fun together. She loved the Lord, and went to Church on Sunday\’s always thanking him for what she had been through as she told us stories of her growing up  poor with her kids.

I remember after work one day she said Lacrease lets go to Denny\’s. It was just me and her. We talked laughed and had a good time. I will never forget that night.

She was so pretty, she entered the Anita Baker contest and won first place. We talked about that all the time. On the back of photos she had given me, she always said she loved me. When I was sad and would think about her, God would lead me to small things like that, and I love him for it.

Its been over 6 years since cookie passed away, but I remember her as if she was here yesterday. Her husband remarried ( that hurted a little) riding by the house and cookie\’s truck in not the driveway. Im happy that her husband Jerome has moved on. But you know? Cookie will be in my heart forever.

So if you have someone in one in your life that you need to see, please go and see them. If you are not getting alone with someone you love, you need to go and see them before its too late.  GO SEE THEM! Or you will end up just like me and thats not  good feeling at all.

  I know you all have taken some photos with your husband/boyfriend at the club and yall are all posse\’d up looking like a nice couple. I remember my ex ( deceased now) and I went to a Freddie Jackson concert, we took a photo all hugged up. but he had a gun in each hand ( how sexy huh…….. ughhh). I was young back them, little did I know how \”ghetto\” it looked. But that was my boo.

 

But when you get grown you take \”grown folk\” photos. Like that one pictured above. Now thats grown folks stuff! They are sexaaaa! Look at the dress sister gurl has on, and look at Kenny bald head looking like he that deal! I aint even mad, I hope someone see\’s that photo and know you can look sexy for youre man in photos, instead the hand on behind, drink in hand kinda look. ( been there)

So Ladies next time your man wants to take a photo, you too men. Make sure its classy and sexy as this one. You guys will compliment each other and really set something off.

I have a serious question for anyone who is reading this post.

Are you ready?

 

What are you doing to spread the word of God? Do you give good spiritual advice to your family and friends? Do you realize that when Judgment Day come we will be held accountable for doing our part?

 

Wouldn\’t you want your list to be way down the block and around the corner for leading souls to Christ in one way or another?

 

Is this something that you think about daily? I know we live in a worldly atmosphere. But what are you doing to separate yourselves? What are you doing that\’s different?

 

We all want to be different in one way or another, but Im asking you right now to stand up and be a Leader of those in your circle. Its even better if you have the personality to get everyone\’s attention. Use if for the building of God\’s word.

See this goes to show you in life that when you complain about something, just think………… somebody else have it worst than you. That\’s why we have to be Thankful.  When you wake up in the morning, you have got to give some Praise to God. Its so important.

Just imagine going from walking yourself, to walking with a cane from one day to the next. That stuff really happens. We complain about our light bills and gas bill, phone, cars and clothes, but what about the \”toliet paper\” in this picture that really does have it worst than the toothbrush?  I mean for real tho. Thats deep.

Sometimes I catch myself complaining but The Lord checks me real quick,

My Pastor has this saying.  Its them today but could be you tomorrow.

Black and White. Hmmmmmm Interesting subject. Very touchy by at the same time , a subject that needs to be on the table.

This show is very good to me. I beleive that the black family is over reacting a bit. I feel as if they should listen more to the way that the white family perceive us as blacks.

Like the Church for instance. I felt as if the black lady was being fake when the white lady ask her should they were those African Dresses. That was fake to me. I felt as if the black lady was showing more colors of being fake and racist then anything. The person I feel that has come out of this lesson being learned something is the white gurl. I mean she is pretty bad to go into that poetry room knowing she is white. That could be intimadating. Imagaine the atmosphere to be black and walk into a all white bar.

To me though, I feel as though they should put the white man in a black situation where he is around all black men. To let him feel the intimading feeling of knowing he is white in side, but in a all black atmsophere. Taking him to these white bars, and those white shows stores aint cutting it. Take that man to the hood and lets see what he say at the end of the day.

Yes, today’s topic is about me……………Lacrease! I finally “got it”. What I am suppose to be doing right now in my life!!

Teaching the word of God by examples of everyday living to YOUNG WOMEN. Preparing them for the life ahead of them~ with God and strapped with the truth at all times.

Well, let me tell you a little about me. Im 38 years old, and I am a cashier at Walmart. Sometimes I question why Im always so quick to tell people where I work. I guess its because over all I love my job.

See I don’t look at work and think about how much money I make,  the hours I work, or the seniority I have. I guess its the people and my coworkers. Some people are really nice. Some are really off the hook. I love talking to people and listening to their testimonies.

I am also a person who is constantly trying to live by the rules of life. The bible……………………………. and the rules of this earth.

Growing up I hated rules. You know the one when mom and dad says “If you think you are too grown to live by my rules………then you can leave”!  Those ones. I always thought that was so cruel. As if they didn’t want me to do what “I” wanted to do, just live as “kids” and do what they say. That use to burn me up.

But as I got older I got wiser, and realized that what my mom and dad told me was the absolute truth. So what that said I learned that rules must apply in order to survive in this world. Starting with the bible.

The bible are instructions to living our lives, if you do not want to abide by the rules and instructions of the bible you will NEVER be able to fully adapt to the rules of the land. And that’s a fact.

The bible says in Proverbs 22 (New International Version) Train [a] a child in the way he should go,

       and when he is old he will not turn from it.

That verse is very serious. When a child is growing up and being trained even though he wont “feel” his parents at the time,but believe me when he/she is older they will surely understand. Because they’ll  wear those same shoes his/her parents wore.

I’m a person who loves rules. I understand  that if a rule doesn’t fit who I am, that I can have the choice to leave that situation. But  that does not mean that every situation that I come across I leave because things are not “my way”. That is sooooooo not true.

Let me give you this example: A woman comes to my line with 14 items, but there is a sign on the register that says: 12 items or less. She sees the sign just before her turn. So when she gets up to the register I say “Maam………this is the express lane its 12 items or less. She looks at me as if Im the bad person, puts her things on the counter any way and says: I ONLY HAVE 2 ITEMS OVER!!!!!!!

Do you see that? This is a person who can care less about the rules. She doesn’t care that their are 7 people behind her who has less than 12 items, who is in the RIGHT LANE, and is ready to check out and leave. She is a person clearly thinking about herself. Because if she was thinking of anyone else, she would say “you’re right ma’am sorry let me find another check out lane”. What’s going on in her mind is the fact that she is ready to go, and that 2 extra items will NOT HURT ANYONE.

Its so not about the 2 items! Its the rule.

The rule does not say 12 items or less and 1 over. It says 12 items or less. Now don’t get me wrong  there will be situations where its okay if there is no one else in line and the cashier doesnt mind. But the key word is… we have to be mindful of those around us. Of those that ARE in line. Be mindful if the situation involves one or more persons. We have to learn to look out for the next person.

 Following the rules is a statement, not a negotiation. Its simply following what the rules say even if you don’t understand WHY, or even understand how it effects you. But there is a reason for rules. Now watch this.

But you take that same woman who didnt follow the rules when she was at Walmart and put her in this scenio lets see what happens.

 Let’s say she is expecting guess over for dinner. She doesn’t smoke and has white carpet all through her house. When you first arrive you see a sign on the door that says no smoking, and for you to come around the side door. Those are her rules number 1 and 2 to start off.

One rule is if you are a smoker you can decide right there on the spot if this is the place for you. You can decide that if you want to come in or not, BUT her rule is to not smoke. She asks that her company walk around to the side door to be let in. And as soon as she opens the door there is beautiful white carpet. She grabs your coat and says “please take off your shoes” my carpet is all white and I don’t want mud or dirt on it. You follow all her rules but the smoking rule. You spend some time in her home and you decide you need a cigerette. You say to yourself, I ‘ll only puff 3 times and put it out, 3 puffs won’t HURT NOBODY. Then when the woman of the house sees you smoking what in the world is she gone to say to you? So do you see where this went? She has all kinds of rules set in her life, in her home, but will be the first to break “yours” giving the opportunity. Thats not fair and its not right!

See people do you one way, but when you are in their territory its a different story. She didnt like the fact that someone was breaking her rules. Aint that deep?

So I say that to say. Learn to follow the rules wherever you are. If the store says no eating (no matter how hungary you are), thats what it means. If the sign says no drinking( but you are thristy) thats what it means. If the sign says no $50.00 bills accepted ( even through thats all you have) thats what it mean. If the door says keep close ( no matter how hot/cold you are) keep it close. The rules are the rules.

All of the rules start from the bible. If you can follow God’s rules whom youve never met, then you will be able to follow the rules here on earth. Pick up your bible today and learn about our Father.

Deuteronomy 28 Blessings for Obedience

 1If youfully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:

 3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

 4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

 5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

 6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

 7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

 8 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

 9 The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. 11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.

 12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.
