Inside the crazy mind of Ms. Walker

A mother and father finds out that they’re expecting a baby
 
everyone is excited
 
they call up everyone and tell them of the good news
 
later on in the pregnancy they  find out what sex the baby is
 
the baby moves for the first time… and its pure excitement
 
a baby shower is planned
 
gifts are bought, food is served, games are played
 
the labor begins
 
lots of pain
 
the baby is born and the pain is no longer remembered
 
the first eye to contact with baby and parents are breath taking
 
they promise to love and protect the baby
 
 
 
Now, I could go on and on with the stages of life… but I’ll stop here for a reason. How does a mother and father go through these stages but someplace between the beginning and the growing years, they grow up to be disrespectful, killers, thieves and other things that are NOT good. I just sit back and wonder….WHAT HAPPENED? WHAT HAPPENED? I just don’t get it.

God always knows how to make me laugh………Crees Blog Entry

When I was a teenager I always said that I wanted TWINS. I was always amazed how GOD would even think to make people who look alike, have many ways alike, but at the same time be 2 totally different people. That’s one of the questions I cant wait to ask him when I see him face to face. What made you want to do this? I’m just fascinated by it.
 
 
I remember when I was working at Walmart and a customer would make me so mad, that after a while I would just speak and keep it moving with the others because I just didn’t want to talk. While I was ringing up customers, I would hear God speak to me and say “look up” as soon as I looked up.. I would see TWIN adults, or twin kids. And I would just bust out laughing like a crazy woman… because he know how to make me smile and laugh. I don’t have enough fingers to count up the times he did this at that job. LOL Here is a video that just warmed my heart. Thank you Lord for making me smile… even when I don’t feel like it.

In 2013….. I Learned…….Crees Blog Entry

stankfacecreeThis year has been one I will never forget. Living alone with yourself…. will teach you a lot of things. The reason why I decided to share mines is because…. I believe that we all can take inventory of our lives… and when we do… we just may learn something.
I learned that I LOVE PRANKS. Even though I would never prank anyone. I realize that I go to youtube when I need to laugh, and when I need to smile just before going to bed. I’ve subscribed to several PRANK sites…. this is something that I realized I did. Wow. I asked myself… what is it that you get out of it? I LOVE to see people’s reaction. I love FACIAL EXPRESSIONS… they’re so funny to me.
I learned that its okay to enjoy being alone. I learned that I’m not the kind of person who calls up people and tell them my problems. I let God work things out, and that way I’m able to tell the story in TRUTH and in FULL. when I’m ready.
I learned that I have control of things that Angers me. For example, when the drive thru lady rolled her eyes so hard at me, all I could see is the white part in her eyes when I asked her for ketchup. I learned this year that I have total control of how I will react to ANY SITUATION, and that I was the one who really had the POWER. I always thought I had POWER AND CONTROL when I “told her off”…. but this year I LEARNED that the one who can laugh through it all…. is the one who has the POWER and SELF CONTROL.*pops my collar*
I learned that I don’t have to be “CONNECTED” to anyone. MEANING… if I’m cool with 2 people and they have issues with each other….. THATS THEIR PROBLEM TO WORK OUT!!!!! I’m free from DRAMA with my own SISTERS… I consider myself free from DRAMA with ANYBODY ELSE. I will not engage in ANY conversations pertaining to the other… PERIOD… AT ALL. I am my own person, I do what I want to do, I’m not connected to anyone. I do my own thang.
I learned this year… that I have always been the listener. My life has changed so much this year… sometimes I didn’t know if I was coming or going. In being the listener all the time….. I realized this year I didn’t have a listener for myself. Even though I’m good with that….. I realized and LEARNED that when I let all my talkers…..talk…. that I didn’t make them listeners. LOL But God had my back. And its all good.
I learned this year that my dad is who he is and that’s FINAL. I learned that whenever he got mad at me, that I was always afraid that he would be mad for a long time, and that’s why I always made up with him first. I went over 3 months before calling him * he had no plans to call me first* that was my first time going that long. I learned that its OKAY… that this is who HE is….. and for me to Boss Up… and accept it. I learned this year, that he can go months even years without talking to me.
I learned this year that I spent a lot of time holding people’s hand…. too long. I refuse to go any longer putting band-aids, and green rubbing alcohol on folks…. they gotta go to God.. JUST LIKE ME. I learned that I spend TOO MUCH TIME…. ( it’s okay to spend some time) on folks who don’t want to “get it”. I can’t use extra energy for that any more. I have to attend to me. I learned that I have neglected myself in so many ways. Those days are over.. and brighter days are coming.

People will show you who they are…….Crees Blog Entry

blueskiesIts been almost a whole year since I moved into my apartment. My life has changed so much. I pray more and talk to God everyday around the 5 o clock am hour. I’m more stronger as a person. I listen more, and I pay attention to everything. I love to learn people. And since I work with teens, I pay attention to their behavior, and more importantly ADULTS.

I was listening to Steve Harvey one day and was so upset the way he was rushing, and fast talking his callers. The way he talks to LISTENERS is so disrespectful. But when a celebrity calls in… he talks to them as if they can find out secrets about him and expose them. He talked to them with respect and as a person on HIS level. One day it was so bad… I had to turn the station.. it killed me to hear him talk to another person in that way. Which takes me to another situation. I’m always the one who likes to defend a person, but now I sit back and pay attention to what is being said…. I don’t open my mouth. And I always find out the person who I’m always defending… is the one who is “doing the most”. When God told me that he was God and I didn’t have to defend anybody anymore….. I rest. I just sit back and watch it go down. Legs crossed…. arms folded. And in THAT ORDER.

People will show you who they are. They will mistreat you * in their own little way*, while trying their best to be up in somebody else face… who they feel is more “influential ” than THEMselves. I’m so glad I am who I am. A person of influence… with NOTHING TO PROVE IN THIS WORLD.. TO OTHERS, FOLKS AT MY JOB, TO MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS. I AM FREE.

I just hate when people treat others differently just because they feel that they’re not on their level. It could be success, or pay scale, living arrangements, or anything. People pick debates just to not hold a conversation with them. They want to purposely feel “some kinda” way for you, just so that they don’t have to be bothered. But its all good…. BECAUSE I see the fall that’s ahead…..* and I have no POWER to stop it*

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth……Crees Blog Entry

our presSometimes I just sit and wonder how did we come to a place where all we think about is material things. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with having a nice place, a car that gives you no problems, and money to pay off your bills. If you’re going to tell a story….tell the story. Braggers are the worst. Now, I have to sit here and hear someone go through something that they missed all because of GREED.When you chase after money, and “stuff” you miss out on LOVE. When you chase POWER AND CONTROL… you miss out on LOVE. And those are the PEOPLE CONSTANTLY reminding others with this MESS…..”I can’t trust nobody” Well before you realized what your money can buy, you should have known that LOVE is going to out last your material things……and NO… you cant trust everybody! Material things can burn up in a fire…. LOVE CANT. Pray and ask God if you can get back the LOVE you lost…. and next time boo…..remember this Scripture Matthew 6:19-21 ESV /“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

It puzzles me sometimes how I prayed to work with children and even though I’m not making near as much as I’m worth… I enjoy going to work everyday. But what I didn’t expect is to work with a few women who makes the atmosphere very uncomfortable. I just knew those days were over when I left Walmart. Maybe this is why I’m taking it so hard…. I thought working with adults was over and that I can only focus on the children. Its a shame when OLDER women are still so childish and immature. I’m very good at ignoring people, but when you have to communicate and it doesn’t happen….. its terrible. This really makes me want to start my own Non Profit Organization… I need team leaders and players. People who are there for the children. People who care for them, and not sit up and say ” I don’t care what they do”. I just have a HUGE problem with people who take jobs that are not really into it…. especially when it comes to caring for other peoples kids.

 

I have a lot on my mind… nothing bad… just “stuff” LOL So, I’m going to bed. Good Night and Be Blessed.

28 years too harsh… the fall of Former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick…… Crees Blog Entry

only meOur former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced yesterday to 28 years in prison, and today his Best Friend was sentenced to 21 years.

I had a discussion about it yesterday on my FB page and a lot of people didn’t agree with the harsh sentence that was handed down. Even if I thought it was too many years to serve…. when you’re a person with that much POWER and you’re found guilty of many serious accounts of fraudulent behavior…. understand that more was required, and trust me MORE TIME was given too.

I voted for this Mayor and even though he was very smart and could get a deal for the city as the LAWYER he was, he was a bully. The part that bothers me about the whole thing is that…. he became so greedy that he didn’t even think far enough down the rode to know that EVENTUALLY “what’s done in the dark would come to the light”. He didn’t think about his Mom who had been a Politician for many years and what it would do to her career. She lost the Democratic primary election in 2010. He didn’t think about his wife and the fact that if he ever got caught, she would either wait until he’s 71 years old to get out of jail, or if she’d divorce him, keep his last name…and find someone else. He didn’t think about that. He didn’t think about seeing his sons graduate from High School and College, or that he’ll never see his grand kids born, or attend his sons wedding. He will forever say to them “I’m sorry”, in everything that he’ll miss. Of course they’ll forgive him, but greed has caused him to ENJOY THE LUXURY of things that he’ll never see again.

I don’t feel bad for him…. I feel bad for all the people that this has been affected. I believe with all my heart that his arrogance and his silence about where the money is hidden, has caused him to get so many years. I guess he figured if I’m going to do the time, aint no use in telling where the money is.. lol My prayer is that he turn to God * we use to go to the same church, ((((Second Ebenezer))))) I saw him every Sunday before he was our Mayor*. All he have to do is ask God for forgiveness. I hope he study his bible and become a role model for the MEN locked up. You know God send wise people to jail to get them saved too. I truly believe with all my heart…. that’s his next assignment.

I want to meet my Sister…..*tears* Cree’s Blog Entry

my sisterI want to meet my sister so bad ( in above photo)…. She use to live here and I hate that I wasn’t persistent in meeting her when she was here in Detroit. I go to her FB page all the time… we favor so much. We talk on the phone, but we’ve never met.My dad had her before my mom and dad married. But the way her mom and my dad got together was sneaky as far as how their families  connected… and for years after years it was a secret to her and to us. My dad is so stubborn and wont take a blood test to give her/us CLOSURE. She aint missing nothing * with him*… yeah I said it. But me and my siblings want to meet her, and hug her and LOVE HER.
My dad lives one min from me and we haven’t spoken in almost 2 months. I just don’t get that.

My daughter is so mad at him because he’s so stubborn she told him that she’s not going to answer his calls because of the way he treats his daughters. But I have a sister out there who wants to be around him….. * throws hands in the air* SMH FOR WHAT? I’m so happy that I’m not stubborn. That kinda life keeps you in bondage. I’m so happy that me and my daughter are very close. Praise God…. and I will communicate, do flips and all sorts of things to keep it that way. My dad has always been this way, he use to go months and months without talking to his brother when we were coming up and all living at home. I never paid it any attention…. never knowing that one day it would be me. SMH. It pisses me off sooooo soooooooo so bad that he’s like this. How you not talk to your BROTHER FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS … then when your kids get older, you do them the same way. We all grew up in the same house, don’t you long to hear my voice, my laughter, my smile, my silly ness…. don’t you miss that? Wow… Well let me say this….. my dad has done me/us like this all of our lives, and for once in my life….. I’m so over his behavior. Once so much time has passed…. it doesn’t even bother me. He had issues with his mom. she sold him to his dad in court for $1.00 and I think he hasn’t gotten over that. If I didn’t have God in my life so deep….. I would be some where crying and depressed. He was the very one who taught me, my sisters and brother to be close…. and if NOTHINGGGGGGG else come out of this as God chose him to be my dad…. I LOVE MY SIBLINGS.. THANK YOU LORD FOR HANDPICKING THEM FOR ME!

Kids….Oh they’re going to get it one way or another…. Cree’s Blog Entry

dont ask for nothingToday as I sat with the Dean of Students who is also a DETROIT POLICE OFFICER * with his fione self* I listened to him speak to two MALE students about growing up. I LOVE when a MAN talk to another MALE STUDENT. They seem to listen and give attention to that kind of authority. They’re so BLESSED to have MEN in position with the MENTALITY to even want to deal with them. Some of them get it, and some don’t. This one gurl told this officer with an attitude … “yall act like yall our parents”. I heard it and said “OH HONEY trust me we’re not your parents…… but WE ARE your uncles and aunts”. She laughed, BUT she got the point. 

I don’t think they understand… most of us have children who are grown and doing well. I told this one student…. “gurl this job didn’t knock on our door and ask us to work”…. WE APPLIED TO THIS JOB… which means we want to see you do good, we want to be apart of your growth, we want to work here. I said…. I could be at home right now sitting on the couch, painting my nails and eating steaks. I told her “We are NOT your enemy”. They laugh at my examples, but they love them, because they get it. When I speak… I make them see a MENTAL VISUAL PICTURE/MOVIE in their minds of what I’m saying. That’s the only way they are going to get it, is by visualizing my words… and that’s why I’m so good at what I do. 

I was talking to one of the male students yesterday about how many times do we have to keep telling him to go to class!! I said if Dr. King ( Principal) have to keep telling me over and over and over again to do something….. I said I’ll grab my keys and leave. I told him I would never want to be told something over and over again. I asked him…. what do you like about us telling you to go to class every hour…. don’t you get tired of hearing that? MY GOODNESS!!! 

When I was growing up… my momma told us ONE time…. go and wash dishes. You didn’t sit there until your favorite part went off on the TV… you got your but up and washed those dishes. My momma had this look, and you knew what it meant. My daddy did too. They were parents who backed each other up, and not tried to be “friends” with us. You didn’t play one against the other…..that was a whopping itself. Back then you didn’t want any PROBLEMS with your parents… you were scared of the consequences. 

SOME of These kids these days…. they don’t listen. They don’t care and they’re not scared of anyone or anything. Parents want to be “cool” and be “friends” with their kids. And another thing I learned too is this… and its HUGE. When parents were younger, many of them grew up NOT LIKING AT ALL, that their parents had friends who told them about their kids. So when those kids grew up, they MADE SURE THAT…… YOUR CHILD IS YOUR BUSINESS…. AND MINES IS MY BUSINESS. Those same ones got whopping’s growing up, and said WHEN I HAVE KIDS… THEY WILL NOT GET THEM…. and this is part of the reason why kids are off the hook in 2013. And they’re the ones on the NEWS crying somebody killed their “good child”. 

I’m very proud of Mr. Tyler Perry giving $100.00.00 to a School in Georgia for uniforms. We must set the example of giving. Great Deed.

One of my FAVORITE MOVIES…..Crees’ Blog Entry

My daughter loves OLD MOVIES. She’s the one who has me hooked on the old Sidney Poiter movies ( her favorite actor…. she  calls him her grand dad). But when she told me about a movie called Black Girl… I was like what kind of title is that. When I sat down to watch it with her, I was blown away. This movie is not only powerful but this cast is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Everyone pulled their weight. I’ve watched this movie at least 10 times …especially since its NOT out on DVD. If you haven’t seen this movie you can watch it on YOUTUBE… here is one of the best scenes. Enjoy
